The Khajuraho Group of Monuments are a group of Hindu and Digambara Jain temples in Chhatarpur district, Madhya Pradesh, India. They are about 46 km from Chhatarpur city, the district headquarters, 283 km from Gwalior, 175 kilometres southeast of Jhansi, 10 kilometres from Khajwa and 9 kilometres from Rajnagar. The temples are famous for their Nagara-style architectural symbolism and a few erotic sculptures. Most Khajuraho temples were built between 885 CE and 1000 CE by the Chandela dynasty.

Sanchi Stupa is a Buddhist complex, famous for its Great Stupa, on a hilltop at Sanchi Town in Raisen District of the State of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is located about 23 kilometres from Raisen town, the district headquarters and 46 kilometres northeast of Bhopal, capital of Madhya Pradesh. The Great Stupa at Sanchi is one of the oldest stone structures in India, and an important monument to the historical architecture of India. It was originally commissioned by the Mauryan emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BCE.

Kanha Tiger Reserve, also known as Kanha–Kisli National Park, is one of the tiger reserves of India and the largest national park of the state of Madhya Pradesh. It covers an area of 940 km2 in the two districts Mandla and Balaghat. The park hosts Bengal tiger, Indian leopard, sloth bear, barasingha and dhole. It is also the first tiger reserve in India to officially introduce a mascot, Bhoorsingh the Barasingha.

Pachmarhi is a hill station in Madhya Pradesh state of central India. It has been the location of a cantonment since the British Raj. The municipality is located in a valley of the Satpura Range and is widely known as Satpura ki Rani. Pachmarhi has an altitude of 1,067 meters above sea level. Dhupgarh, the highest point in Madhya Pradesh and the Satpura range, is located nearby.

Bandhavgarh National Park is a national park of India, located in the Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh. It spreads over an area of 105 km2 and was declared a national park in 1968. It became Tiger Reserve in 1993 with a core area of 716 km2. Bandhavgarh was part of the princely state of Rewa, and it was a hunting destination for kings. It is known for the abundance of forest and wild animals, especially tigers.

Mandu or Mandavgad is an ancient city in the present-day Mandav area of the Dhar district. It is located in the Malwa and Nimar region of western Madhya Pradesh, India, at 35 km from Dhar city. In the 11th century, Mandu was the sub division of the Tarangagadh or Taranga kingdom. This fortress town on a rocky outcrop about 100 km from Indore is celebrated for its architecture.

The Fort of Gwalior or Gwalior Fort is a 6th-century hill fort in Gwalior, India. Mughal Emperor Babur described it as the "pearl amongst the fortresses of Hind and not even the winds could touch its masts" due to its grandeur and magnificence. It was nicknamed the "Gibraltar of India" for its impregnability and defensive structure. The fort dates back to the 5th century, perhaps earlier, making it one of the oldest defence forts in India. Ancient Sanskrit inscriptions record the name of the fort as "Gopgiri".

The Bhimbetka rock shelters are an archaeological site in central India that spans the Paleolithic and Mesolithic periods, as well as the historic period. It exhibits the earliest traces of human life in India and evidence of the Stone Age starting at the site in Acheulean times. It is located in the Raisen district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, about 45 kilometres south-east of Bhopal. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that consists of seven hills and over 750 rock shelters distributed over 10 km.

Bhedaghat is a town and a nagar panchayat in Jabalpur district in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is situated by the side of river Narmada and is approximately 20 km from Jabalpur city. Bhedaghat is known for the high marble rocks making a valley through which river Narmada flows. The site is also home to Dhuandhar Falls, named for its smoky appearance as the water crashes down, creating a mist that looks like rising steam.

Pench National Park is a national park in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It was created in 1983 with an area of 292.85 km2 in the Seoni and Chhindwara districts. Since 1992, the park has formed part of the core of the Pench Tiger Reserve, together with Pench Mowgli Sanctuary. The wider reserve also includes a substantial buffer area.

Maheshwar is a town in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh state, in central India. It is located on State Highway-38,13.5 km east of National Highway 3 and 91 km from Indore, the commercial capital of the state. The town lies on the northern bank of the Narmada River. It was the kingdom of Kartavirya Arjuna a Heheya king. Centuries later, it served as the capital of the Malwa during the Maratha Holkar reign until 6 January 1818, when Malhar Rao Holkar III shifted the capital to Indore.

Orchha is a city near the city of Niwari in the Niwari district of Madhya Pradesh state, India. The city was established by a Bundela Rajput ruler Rudra Pratap Singh some time after 1501, as the seat of an eponymous former princely state including parts of central and north India, in the Bundelkhand region. Orchha lies on the Betwa River, 126 km from Gwalior, 89 km from Tikamgarh and 18 km from Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh.
